Traditional Irish Music with An Lár

An Lár captivates audiences with the traditional music of Ireland, intricate instrumentals including blasts of reels, loping jigs, peppy sailor’s hornpipes, lyrical waltzes and haunting laments alternating with songs of love, sorrow and celebration. You’ll most certainly recognize the guitar, banjo, flutes and whistles, but you’ll also see and hear the Irish button accordion, uilleann pipes and the bodhran. You’ll be tapping your feet and singing along with the songs and imagine being on the Emerald Isle. Find anlárband on Facebook and Instagram.

The Crybabies

The Crybabies are a string band focusing on stacked harmonies and generalized roistering. This all femme band includes bandleader Elizabeth Vargas on tenor banjo, Lindsay Tomlinson on rhythm guitar, Ashley Hooper on electric guitar, Rocket Montana on fiddle, and Luna Arostegui on upright bass. Originally a busking band, the Crybabies got their start trying to project over the drunks on Frenchmen Street, which is the basis of their powerful yet tender sound. They've mellowed slightly as they adjust to the wonderful world of indoors, but their hearts remain in the streets.
